Yvelette has produced readings and assisted with planning literary events. She hosted readings for authors Touré, Angie Cruz, and Poetri as well as assisted with planning the InsideOut Literary Arts Gala. She also served as the Vice President of The Detroit Poetry Collective, a non-profit that creates literary awareness in the community.
